...and hello to Beegee10, my lovely new Golf.

Very shiny but no aerial so I shall have to stop relying on a pink daisy to guide me to my car in carparks.

Today's photograph shows my youngest about to take the last trip in Tiggy the Tiguan. A sad moment :o(

Thanks to redundancy, my husband's lovely (company financed) Tiguan has to go back to the leasing company today.

Bye Tiggy. You've been wonderful xx

Plastic baskets strewn cross the garden by the wind?

Oh no! This is my OH's idea to keep our bulb safe from squirrels, cats and birds.

So far so good...

"Daddy, why is the daffodil pot on my skateboard?"

"For ease of movement."

"Cool!"

Delicious crêpes and gallettes - and the salad dressing is wonderful.

One from the achives today - taken in 2008 during a holiday in Anglesey.

The train went along a lake and started and ended at the Slate Museum. Great fun trying to take pictures of each other hanging out of the train windows!

Another great quotation about education today.

I assume it's Brigham Young as in 19th century Mormon and leader of Latter Day Saints, and subject of "The 19th wife" by David Ebershoff.

Might not agree with some of his beliefs but this one is right on!

There are some quotations etched on the windows at Aston business School - and this is one of them.

Having watched the highlights of An evening with Sir Ken Robinson during which we were urged 'the revolution starts here', this struck a chord.

If a small group of thoughtful people can change the world, let's hope they can affect change in the Government's education policy .....

Today we were promised a view of the 'Supermoon', so called as it is as close to the earth as it gets.

Wish i had a better camera as I could actually see the shadows of the craters on the moon, but this isn't too bad...

I spotted this van as I walked to Camden Lock this morning.

And if you look above the van, there's a man actually fixing a sash window - wow!

He was a star!

Here's the beautiful ceiling and the edges, the windows, of the Town Hall.

My inability to run at the moment due to an injury means I'm rather fed up so we went to Solihull to cheer me up and take my mind off the race I should've been running today.

This is the Friendship Tree ouside the Head's Office at school. Might obscure the light a little but it's a lovely demonstration of how the children value one another.

I was talking to Year 6 today about light and dark, day and night as we revised for their Science SATs.

I told them about the short days in Iceland, but that when light did arrive, that it was a beautiful light. So here's a photograph taken from the top of the Perlan in Reykjavik that shows it.

Here's my car window, taken in January I think.

However, I chose this one as it shows blue sky and sun!

In Liverpool tonight for the Primary Langugae Show tomorrow.

I had the best room in the Jury's Inn, a triangular room right on the corner with two HUGE windows, one looking towards the dock and across the Mersey, and the other looking towards the town through which I could see all sorts of famous buildings.

Today's beautiful window comes courtesy of my friend Chris. He gets to visit all kinds of exotic places and has kindly said that I can 'borrow' one of his photos for my 'window quest'

And a lovely window it is - the Peace Window in Sandakan, Borneo. A remarkable place - you can read his very moving article about it here.

I bought myself some flowers today as I'm not feeling too well.

Like the flowers in the vase juxtaposed with the tortoise and the Indiana Jones lego boat!
