I had a meeting in Birmingham today and took the opportunity whilst I was there to visit one of my favourite shops.

Bought a present for Mr @lisibo - and one for @lisibo too ;o)

Eldest needed a break from homework and some fresh air so off he pootled with his Dad for a walk in the Country Valley Park.

Taken out of the dining room window as I waved them off before supervising youngest up levelling sentences in literacy.

As I got into my car this afternoon, I spied three fluffy little birds sitting in the bush in the corner of our drive.
Did the best i could with my iPhone - can you see them?

Looking out of the window at lunchtime, the Foundation Stage playground.

And some leaves!

Through the staff room 'back door' to a spot of tranquility.

Abigail's garden - sadly too cold and damp to enjoy it today but it's gorgeous in the summer!

My boys playing Club Penguin, taken through the back door.

Like the way the garden is reflected in the glass - but should've moved the garden chairs!

I've had a headache since Friday night that developed into a full blown nauseatingly painful migraine overnight so I haven't been anywhere near a window today.

So today's picture comes from our family trip to Iceland at Christmas. Taken from the coach on our trip to þingvellir, Gulfoss and Geysir, it shows the landscape that took our breath away time and again!

Oh what a beautiful morning!

My attempts at taking the view from bed were sadly v poor so i got up and took this one. So glad I did.

Occasionally I'll be posting a window picture taken by someone else.

I know the blog is called Window on MY world, but there are many people to pass through my world, and I'd like to share my space with them too.

So, a beautiful Scottish sunset today.

A full moon tonight - really bright and big.

Photograph doesn't really do it justice - but I'm enjoying looking out of my bedroom window and marvelling at the moon 'live'.

A glorious sight out of my back door this morning - blue sky and fluffy clouds. Enough to make a sailor suit as my Nan used to say!

I've been enjoying the light through the window as I've worked today - makes the early onset of darkness more bearable when you get good quality light in the day!

Look! The bin men came this morning. On the correct day and on time.

And what's more, the recycling was collected too.

Our road is now rubbish free :o)

(Note to self - do not blog when tired as your blog post may not end up where it's supposed to go!)

Today, the window on my world is the 'sunroof' in the family car. I say sun roof, it's more like a viewing hatch as it goes the whole length of the car and is great for cloud watching!

The sky wasn't particularly blue today but I did get to see some rather fluffy clouds.

Today's photograph is 'one from the archives'.

This is my nephew Harry on Boxing Day 2002 peering out of the living room window.

I've always wondered what he was looking at - possibly the rain!

Well, not such a lovely picture from my window today.

This is what happens when the rubbish isn't collected for three weeks. That's two houses' worth. And that's not including their recycling that is just out of shot.

Our pile is hidden by my car, but it's becoming a bit of a task getting out of the drive without hitting wither the binbags or the recycling boxes.

And we're better off than some parts of Birmingham!

Oh well, I'll just have to keep looking out of the back windows...

Our church used to be Town Junior School, and the wonderful Victorian architecture remains in many parts, especially the lovely high ceiling in the church hall.

This is one of three very high windows that cast light on the main area of the church hall. You can just see through it the tower of Holy Trinity, the parish church that is just up the hill from us.

Pretty blue sky too!

Today's photograph marks a momentous ocassion for my son.

Having wanted a pair since he was 2, Jude has now got glasses! Just for reading and close focus things but he's over the moon.

And he looks very cool!

I woke this morning and here was the view from the kitchen window.

More snow.

There was more snow by 930, then it all starting going mushy and melting as the temperature rose.

Glad I captured this shot though as the garden looks so pretty in the snow!

"Isn't that sky beautiful" said a colleague just before briefing this morning.

Up I popped, took a photograph out of the window and my secret was out.

"Lisa, you are officially sad!" I was told. Not sure if it was the photo taking, the subject or my perceived techiness but there you are!

The view from a bedroom window at the Hotel Best Western Roker in Sunderland onto the beach.

Wish I'd had more time as I would have liked to go for a walk on the beach, but I was in Sunderland to work so perhpas next time....

Today's photograph is through a train window.

Taken at Sheffield Station on the journey from Birmingham New Street to Newcastle (and then on to Sunderland)

Reflection can be a bit of a pain but I actually like it in this case.

Today's photograph looks out of the window at Sutton Coldfield Baptist Church. After the service of course ;o)

Beautiful window. Like the little 'steamed up' bits at the corners of the panes of glass.

I thought I'd start my challenge with my first look out of the window into 2011.

Not strictly the first view as that was at midnight, but this was the view as I opened the bedroom curtains this morning. And there was the garden stretching out before me.

I expect I'll post more very similar photographs as the year goes on and as the garden changes.

Lisibo's 2011 challenge

This blog is my 2011 challenge - post a photograph of the view from a window every day for a year.
This follows on from Trees365 my 2010 challenge to post a photograph of a tree.
My professional blog is called ¡Vámonos! and looks at teaching and learning in the 21st century, with a particular focus on primary language learning, creativity and the use of technology.
